Lots of fancy designs for high falluting boats. These are study plans, not detailed building plans. While there are 30 plans in the book, there weren't any basic boats for a beginning builder. With a title like '30 Wooden Boats' I thought there would be something in there for everyone. This is actually a plans catalog rather than a book for a novice to build a boat from. I hope some day the folks at Wooden Boat Magazine learn to get back to the basics and offer good, affordable information on building basic boats rather than just pander to elitists.
