This book is truly amazing, and the movie does it no justice. It is the kind of book that leaves you shocked though you've been warned that there will be a surprising twist at the end. No matter how analytical you become you will still be utterly surprised. Then you will think back and say to yourself, "Wow, it was there all along!" Don't let anyone spoil it for you. Don't watch the movie beforehand.

Very engaging, well-written... parts of the resolution of this story were predictable, but there was one twist that shocked me. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Yet another page turner by this author, with a deep message in the bargain! This is a great book for anyone who's ever struggled with man's ability to do evil and at the same time love tenderly. Kevin, a young man in seminary, struggles with that question. Then a boy from his past appears on the scene and threatens to blow up his car if he doesn't confess to the news media. With help from his childhood best (and only) friend, Samantha, and a sympathetic criminal psychologist, he finally tracks down the man and finds out what it is he's supposed to confess. A gripping conclusion!

A great suspense novel. Reading the last 50 or so pages you will need to remind yourself to breath.

This was my first Ted Dekker book, and I've been hooked ever since. Spunky and spooky, with a moral. If you like an intense thriller you'll love Ted Dekker.
