This is the review I wrote for the hardcover. For this audio, I add: The reader added nothing, just nothing, to the story.
Can one write a fair review without having finished a book?
Well, I couldn't finish it. Life is too fast...and I am getting so much older. I can't waste time on something that plods and plods, even if most of the reading world praises this book to heaven. I'll bet not a dang thing happened until past a third of the way, and by then, when things started moving--slowly--I said "enough."
He may be a wonderful man, but this book is awful.

This is an amazing book which I have read and re-read. It is truly a testament to the power of the individual - what one person can accomplish if they are persistent and determined to make a difference. Our politicians in D.C. should all read this book.
