Very readable and understandable guide to the wonders of the celestial! Raymo makes the heavens attainable to the layman, an indispensable guide for the beginning stargazer or introducing positions of constellations and their movements to the young set. Interspersed with mythological lore and interesting text along with a sparkling of his own whimsical drawings and concise maps, astronomer Raymo makes learning about the sky above us entertaining and enjoyable.

Nice beginning book for the stargazer in all of us. Lots of good descriptions of the night sky throughout the year: what to look for in different seasons, etc.
