World building started to make sense after a while but the main character acted like a little kid, I was waiting for her to stamp her foot after she sulked through many chapters.
Definitely a YA book except for the last two chapters which finally for the most part had the main character as an adult. I wish the writer, who is in her late 50s would not try to write young girl books and then the next sentence she's an adult then it's back to her being a kid again I just got tired of it. I'll try the next book, hopefully the main character Grady will be an adult all the time.
