I read this book cover to cover and am thrilled with it! It is meant as a Father/Daughter tool to allow them to deepen their relationship as Father and Daughter, and delicately and comfortably talk about her role in protecting her heart and purity and his role as her protector and guardian. This book does this through segments of a story of 3 daughters and their weaver fathers and different parenting styles and how the daughters prepare for their prince, which is shared during each chapter along with a discussion guide and Bible study. It contains suggestions for a Hope Chest and letters the Father can write to his daughter that she may want to keep in the chest along with other ideas of things to do, and then finishes the study with a Purity Ceremony.
This study is ideal for daughters aged 9-16, depending on their maturity, and takes 6-7 weeks. I can't wait for my husband to start doing this with my daughter!

This book is entirely unbiblical and portrays God in a very negative light. To quote another reviewer, "This allegory portrays completely counter biblical themes as it declares that God will only keep His promises if people do everything right, keep all the rules, and work as hard as they can." This is completely wrong! The story and the study guide are devoid of grace and forgiveness. I do not recommend it to anyone, in fact, I believe the teachings found in this book could harm a father's relationship with his daughter.
