I guess it depends on your own definition of erotic. This was a quick read which novellas usually are. The first story was interesting and a typical romance with some strong hints of playful eroticism. The last one by Jaid Black was a fantasy about an underground world. The middle story by George really lacked any substance. I could have improved the story line. Maybe I should start writing novellas. ;) BTW, there was no graphic torture in any of the stories.

the Kenyon story I had read in her other Bad anthology, so that was a repeat, the Melanie george story...that ws it? It left you hanging with too many holes and not enough resolution. If a guy comes back after 10 or 8 years it kept switching in the story, left me pregnant I want a little more conversation before I jump in bed with him and before I cancel my wedding. The last story was actually good. My first by Jaid black and I will read more of her.

Three Novellas by Sherrilyn Kenyon, Melanie George and Jaid Black.

Kenyon's "Captivated by You" is a story from her "BAD boys," BAD being Bureau of American Defense. Could have been a really good story in full novel format. Rather silly abrupt ending. Present time.

Melanie George tells the story of Savannah, whose old love returns on the eve of her wedding and kidnaps her in "Promise Me Forever."

"Hunter's Right" is set in Jaid Black's Viking-style community under Earth's Artic Circle. The world is contrived, unbeliveable and the story line is OK.

If I had to rank the 3 stories in order of how much I liked them, it would be Hunter's Right, Captivated, then Promise Me Forever... and there's a BIG gap between #2 & #3. I've never read anything else by Melanie George, and probably won't. It reminded me of some of the hokey stuff that I can get for free online. I don't want that in print. Captivated was hot, and funny, but really - has Kenyon written anything bad??? Jaid Black is in a class all by herself when it comes to romantic erotica. Hunter's Right is every bit as good as any of her other stories and worth the price of the entire book.

Hmmm... It was ok. The first story went so fast that I couldn't get a feel for the characters. Didn't read the second story. Like the third story about the Vikings. Find of far fetched but I liked the H/h. Worth the credits - but not on my keeper shelf.

Book is a quick read. The first story (Kenyon) was good,2nd story, Melanie George was horrible, who jumps in bed with a guy that left you for a football career forgets about you till he finds out someone is gonna marry you? who who who... not in the real world for sure! But the icicing on the cake was Jade Black! I don't care what anyone says, it may not have been perfect but it made me smile and I really enjoyed it so much I have gotten all the Jaid Black books I can find. Hey I think that is what these short stories are all about, its the perfect way to find out what kind of substance a writer has..Kenyon and Black I will read over and over as for George I may try one more, I mean everyone has a bad day....

I was very disappointed with Melanie George's story. It was short, which is what you expect with an anthology, but it left a lot to be desired. The plot was not wrapped up in a way which I would have liked.
The other two stories were great though. Jaid Black is one of my favorite authors and hers did not disappoint!
