This is the second book of the Worldwar series. A bit long but very good overall.
Part of an awesome (although somewhat long) series.
another of the turtledove alternative history books. not the best writer, but very entertaining
I like how Harry Turtledove continues to use different peoples lives and their struggle to survive. Also, the the use of individual aliens. This gives makes the book a more alive.
Mr. Turtledove ends this book with an event which makes me want to read the third volume.

Only in Turtledove, are the humans and the real historical events even more fantastic than the Aliens. If you like this series try reading his straight alternate war histories, you will not be disappointed. But back to this book a really gripping read.
Really exciting. Harry Turtledove's premise of an alien invasion interrupting WWII leads to all sorts of wild, but logical, consequences. Another thing I like is that the aliens are portrayed as somewhat . . . human (and occasionally a little better!). Remionds me of the best of Star Trek, TNG.
Turtledove is a master historian with an interesting habit of twisting and tweaking history to tell a story - with lessons for our future, and interesting revelations of the past that often have escaped our notice.
The second book in the series left me raring to go for the third one.
