good read. Although I had not read a McMullen book in a year or two, I picked up the plot and characters quickly in this, the fourth book of the Moonworlds Saga. I have enjoyed this series as well as his Greatwinter stories. Mcmullen is a great talent and has a knack for creating vivid fantasy worlds without much confusion of the new worlds slang, vernacular, and buzz words. The characters in this book, as all of Sean's, were fun to view and easy to root for or against. The plot continues quickly for most of the book. My only problem was with the ending. Just too many paradox inducing expanations. I will not spoil the end by explaining, but I felt a bit cheated by the ending. But taken as a whole, this book satisfied my need to return to the Moonworlds :) I look forward to his next novel.
