A return to 1990 Clanton, Mississippi, and Jake is back. A good look at the south in the early '90's, Grisham does as always, a great job of painting a picture of a small town torn apart by a crime, and loyalties that may go too far. I was just a little disappointed by the end, but still another great Grisham.

A Time for Mercy is one of John Grisham's better reads, with lots of character development. Lots of plots and some subplots. I wanted more from the ending, but it is the perfect end for a sequel as the Jake Brigance story and this particular story hasn't ended. The book kept me enthralled.

Name returns again! This book is just as exciting as the last one.
