A favorite. Loved how the book is written. You feel as though you are strolling through a medieval town. This is not a dry boring book filled with a never ending list of "on this date this battle happened" and "on this date so and so was crowned king." This book brings this period of history alive. Think of it as a Fodor's Guide to Medieval Times. You get the do's and don'ts of that period as if you were going to a foreign culture. I have a Bachelor's Degree in History and I still learned new bits of information from the book. Highly recommended for history buffs or anyone interested in the medieval period.
