An excellent 'fill in the blanks' book for people who are interested in the backstory from "Nemesis". A totally enjoyable read on it's own merits, too. Star Trek stories tend to lend themselves to individual telling as well as support of the whole and this book is a perfect example of that. Highly recommended.

Book two in the Titan series is really a "part two" of the first book and you are left with a feeling of, "This seems like I have been here before,". Yes, it does seem this plot is a "been there, done that" as far as plots go in Star Fleet. However, the book is a fast, easy read but be ready to have a lot of characters (and strange names) thrown your way. To the point that it is a bit hard to keep up with who is who. I found myself turning back some pages to make sure who was being talked about. Still, if you are reading the Titan books - don't miss this one but I'm glad the third (next) book has a new writer.
