This was a very exciting book. As per the The Hunt for Atlantis, Eddie and Nina are getting knee deep into it again. The author comes up with an original story and an exciting adventure. If you've read his previous book, this is a must read!

Great book!
I am a James Rollins fan and have read all of his books except the new one that is on the way to me. Because I like the excitement and adventure in Mr. Rollins' books, I look around for another author...and found one in Andy McDermott. His books are equally as exciting and this one was no exception. I only put it down to sleep and work...and then it was hard to do that.

If you liked McDermott' 1st book, this will not disappoint ... much. It is a rollicking adventure, full of unescapable situations from which the hero/heroine escape by clever means. It falls a bit short on the historical archeological content which doesn't get moving until about pg 300. A good summer read.

Plu-ease! One reviewer states that the book really doesn't get going until page 300 and the book has 483 pages. Should I really waste my time on Nina who is as annoying as a television reality show diva and Eddie who is as thick as a plank which is unfortunate because he could be so wonderful as a hero with a brain. Bored, yes bored. I really dislike Nina, she whines, jumps to conclusions, looses her temper over nothing, and does not know how to express herself. She is supposed to be a world-class archelogist with brains, sense and beauty. I find very little brains and no sense. How she manages to find treasures when she is such a reactionary is beyond me. No, really, the action scenes are pure action and rather fun; I just wish the people were...anything.

Second book in the series about archeologist Nina. It was very good, fast paced adventure. The only thing I didn't like was it was similar to the first book, Atlantis. Different topic but similar storyline.
Very action packed--Twists and Turns that are not expected keep the story interesting.

Just finished this book, action all the way through. Loved the story line and characters. I think I'm going to have to read it again, as it was so fast paced I couldn't help reading it fast. I can't remember any book I've read with this much action (much better than a movie). From a diamond mine to Uranium nuclear mining, undersea adventure, Tomb of Hercules discovery, cruising on a huge yacht, to saving New York from a nuclear bomb!!! action, action, action.
