This was a pretty good little mystery. It was a quick read. I appreciated the author's foreword that gave a good amount of information on the Comanche Indians. The premise of the book was different, as it not only told the story, but gave insight to one of the other character's thoughts and feelings. And it was two mysteries in one, with the other mystery involving a murder over 100 yrs ago, but both of them intertwined without being bogged down. The characters were likable, too. I would read this author again.
This series never fails to please and Megan Clark is an engaging if quirky character you grow to love.
This is sort of a two for one story. Megan's dogs find a couple of bodies while she, Ryan and the book club are on a hike in a canyon. One corpse was murdered 5 years ago and the other 140 years ago. Megan and Ryan investigate the reason murder and Megan "reads" what she can from the mummifed older corpse. There are short chapters thoughout the book giving the story of what happened in 1868 to the earlier victim.
Very good story, different twists and turns. Actually two stories in one, connected and done very stylishly. Enjoyed #4 of the series very much.
I really enjoy the reading group mystery series!!
