The premise held promise, but the writing was confusing and not well structured. Too much unbelievable stuff accepted by too many characters without reason. It could have been better. Great sex scenes, but they jarred with the emotions and action of the characters. Disappointed.

I liked it. You enter the world of the shape shifters and good and evil. If you like paranormal love stories you'll love this one. The love scenes were kind of racy. But all in all it was a good other world read.

The book was good. I enjoyed the characters, the situation/storyline was fairly original, and the descriptions vivid. I thought the author did a good job of introducing secondary characters (maybe with their own books later on?) but keeping the focus on the main couple. Good read.

I was really drawn in by the characters. They each told there unique side of the story. They did not seem one sided and the passion was firey. My first book by this author and it won't be my last.

Not a bad book, but I didn't get into it as much as some others I have read.

This book was okay, it sort of held my interest, but it seemed to "jump around" a lot. It has various twists and turns. I believe I would recommend it.

I just couldn't get into this book. To me it was more sci-fi than romance, although the romance was there somewhat. Just a little too out there to be considered romance to me.

This author's first bk THE MISTRESS OF TREVELYAN was a gothic type historical romance that I enjoyed so much it's on my keeper shelf. This newer release is a contemporary paranormal that I just couldn't really get into. Will be reading her other bks though.

Jennifer St. Giles begins a dazzling new series that takes you into a world of seductive shape shifters and mystical beings, and into the hearts of a band of heroic warriors known as The Shadowmen. . . .

Yesterday, Erin Morgan worked for a pioneering Manhattan medical center. Today, she's on the run, witness to a chilling conspiracy. Fleeing for her life in the Tennessee mountains, she is run off the road by a mysterious beast . . . and things only get stranger when she wakes the next day to find a naked Adonis sprawled on the hood of her car.

For centuries, Jared has been a shape shifter, sworn to protect mortals like Erin. But in saving her, Jared has damned himself, for the poison from his battle wound stirs a terrible blood lust. Determined to protect Erin, Jared stays by her side and discovers a sensual rapture beyond imagining . . . and a love that can change his fate. But can Jared overcome his savage thirst and protect Erin from the beast within?
