If you enjoyed Jon Krakauer's book, Into Thin Air, you will love this book also. All of the people you met in Krakauer's book are here, plus the story of the first Sherpa to reach the summit of Everest. The book is by that Sherpa's son after his own summit. I loved it!

A beautiful book. Not just about Everest, but about Buddhism, sherpas, spirituality, indomitable souls. As an Everest junkie, I have read many books about the 1996 horrors. But this one is so much more. Just so poignant, inspiring, sad, invigorating. I love this man.
