A long story but a typical romantic suspense by Sandra Brown. She has been one of my fav authors & still is. Interesting story about a father that reunites with his ex-wife & daughter in a dramatic way.

I found this one trite and boring. It started in present day then flashed back 30 years for the back-story on Dodge (a stupid name I never got used to) & Caroline. It would've been better to start the story in the past rather than do so much flashback. Their relationship fell flat for me. Nothing really engaging ever happened. The sex scenes were the best part. Literally.
Sandra Brown is officially off my auto-buy list. In the last 10 years, she's been more miss than hit for me. I think she should take a break from these romantic suspense attempts. There are other authors who do them far better. She should write more stories like RAINWATER, that's where she shines!

Not my favorite Sandra Brown book but good enough to keep me interested. I wasn't a fan of the flashbacks but I never really like books that do that. I found some of Dodge's antics unbelievable.I always look forward to Sandra Brown's books and this one didn't live up to my favorites. In fact did not like the "Dodge" character at all. Took me longer than usual to read.

i enjoyed this book alot! I see the negative comments about the flashbacks, but i like hearing how dodge and caroline come together. I too do not like the name dodge, but most the the names in books are weird. i listened to it on audio book and i hate when a man tells the story ands try to sound like a woman. The authors are getting paid enough, why not get a female to read the womens line and vice versa! overall enjoyed the book, sex scenes and all lol!
Great Book! All Sandra Brown books I've read have been great. I highly recommend her.
I am a big Sandra Brown fan but this was not one of my favorites. The villain was a little over the top and the romances never really moved me.
Always a good read with Sandra Brown! Terrific pacing and good plotting -- had me going a few times, I must admit!

Sandra Brown always keeps you in suspense until the last, and this book is not disappointing. However, there were many sub-climaxes and I kept wanting to get to the end of the story. If you enjoy a real page-turner, with some hot romance and mystery, you will enjoy this one.

This was a typical Sandra Brown with a twist due to the toggling from present to past. All in all, it's a satisfying read and a great beach read.
