Peter Mayle offers us another funny and beautiful book about life in Provence. Here is a heart-warming portrait of a place where, if you can't quite "get away from it all," you can surely have the best of times trying.

A delightful, easy-to-read book. Peter Mayle's writing shares various adventures of the provencal lifestyle, & surroundings and eating habits with a special flair. A few laughs are tucked within Mayle's writing. You will be glad you read the book.

A good book, but not nearly as much fun as A Year in Provence.

Awesome writer. He explains the most beautiful place in such expressive terms. Makes you want to go there.

This follow-up to A Year in Provence is delightful. We get to find out what happened to many of the central characters from the first novel, and though it lacks a bit of the whim that the first novel contained, it's still an enjoyable read (if you read the first novel).
