This is a story about American Indians. The families in this book are tied together by their loves, lies and losses. Heartwrenching and heartwarming. Louise Erdrich captures the elegance of the language......she is my favorite author.

This is one of my favorite books of all time. Louise Erdrich is brilliant at creating characters that will fascinate you. I highly recommend Tracks, Love Medicine, and The Beet Queen!
This is another great novel by Louise Erdrich about the Native American life and struggles as their life was coming undone all around them when the white man continued to put their culture and even lives at stake. This is set in North Dakota and is a tale of passion and unrest. I love Erdrich's books!
Couldn't get through this one...very disjointed plot and writing..mostly about Indian customs from a wide range of character narratives. You're not missing anything if you miss this one.
This was an interesting viewpoint of what it was like to be an individual native American during the early 1900s and what trials and hardships they faced.
I've liked some of her books but not necessarily this one. So so
I liked this book. But I never finished reading it. So I don't feel qualified to present a comprehensive review.
