I didn't agree with every single thing they wrote in this book. it's very rare when I will agree with 100% of what an author says. But it is a great little book on how to TRAIN UP your child. And they are very clear on how the goal is to arrive at very little to NO SPANKING. And they also mention ways to grow closer to your child... an almost attachment parenting kind of thing. I also loved the humorous slant, and the fact that they have well behaved, Christian ADULT children, shows me that they do in fact know what they are talking about. I'm going to buy a few for a couple of close girlfriends... it's that good.
I also wanted to mention that the other reviewer is 100% wrong. She has taken everything out of proportion. and also has blatantly misquoted the Pearls. I also think it is really silly and wrong that she has posted an EXACT SAME review in every one of the Pearls' many books.
An aside about the reviewer that is slandering the Pearls.... if you go through and read all of her reviews.... she mentions that her 3 year old daughter is throwing food at the dinner table! If that is how you want your child to act then go ahead and follow her advise. lol
