A book combining military strategy, mastery of modern military technology, a surefire sense of political and diplomatic reality with a hefty dose of good old-fashioned storytelling.
A dramatic portrayal of a Mexican revolution -- one that tragically and inexorably draws the United States into major battles with its own border. The US is caught by surprise as a Mexican revolution suddenly destabilizes the almost-2000-mile long undefended border between the two countries. Diplomatic negotiations begin, but a series of savage cross-border attacks on American civilians forces the United States to mobilize its armed forces, invade Mexico, and establish a security zone. While the controversial invasions is hotly debated, the United States must win quickly what could become a long, bloody war.
