Book 2 in the Twilight Texas series. Trixie Lynn Parks lived in Twilight for one year when she was in her teens. Her goal had always been to be a star. After creating a scandal on Broadway, Trixie is back in Twilight as Emma Parks. She reconnects with her childhood friend, Sam, the local vet. Sam's life has been difficult since they last met. He was mauled by a mountain lion, married a woman he didn't truly love and then lost her and is raising her son that he adopted. Emma and Sam find the old spark that made them click when they were teens. Good lazy afternoon read.

This is the second in the series and you could read it without reading book one but it is not recommended. Most of the same characters are from book one but dont really get a detailed intro. You kinda need to remember them from book one.
This book had a great deal of things going for it. The town of Twilight has a legend and history of magically helping high school sweathearts find each other again. Sam the vet gets a chance at his old teenage love, you find out what happens to Beau from book one, there is some great stuff about border collies. The book was not as good as book one, but I wanted to find out what would happen to all the characters.
I am not a big romance or erotica fan. I found myself skipping over the sex scenes at the end. Yeah Yeah he has a big penis and knows how to use it AGAIN. I want a story not a bunch of slippery details about tongues and worlds colliding. But you know what? Lori wilde sure does love scenes better that other romance I have skipped over. I will go on to read book 3 and 4 because the theme of knitting, quilting, cooking and gardening make these books more than a yearning burning romance. It is about a great group of people from a great town of Twilight, Texas.
