Although the book has little to do with the actual LAW & ORDER shows, it does a great job of going "behind the scenes," as it were, of 25 of the show's episodes to explore the true crimes they were based on.
These aren't stories for the faint of heart, but they do pull at the heartstrings. I remember watching many of the episodes the crimes were based on. This is a great book, especially for those interested in true crimes, but anyone will find them fascinating.
The authors have truly done their research and are to be commended.

This is a great book for any fan of Law & Order and/or true crime. I've been an avid true crime reader for years now and this book made me stop reading and walk away more than once. The stories chosen are a great variety also. They added stories that I knew from the news and ones I've never heard of. Enough details so you know what happened and in no way does it ever get boring. I've heard about an SVU edition although I haven't been able to get my hands on it yet. Definitely recommended.

I actually remembered some of the cases mentioned in the book from when they did the episodes. I was impressed with how well they did with such short amount of space for each case mentioned. Definitely a must read for any fan of the show or someone who loves true crime.

This book details the actual cases that many of the Law & Order episodes were developed from. Each chapter is a new case. No gory, gruesome details or pictures. Interesting read chronicling the suspect(s) journey through their trials.
