I didn't enjoy this book as well as I did the first in the series. Hopefully it is just this book and I will enjoy the rest of the series.

This was pretty good. It was amusing to see how the husband and wife both saw the same situation from different angles. However, I didn't really enjoy the way the author kept switching back and forth on points of view. It's all first person, but one chapter would be the wife's pov, the next chapter would be the husband's, then back to the wife, etc. Other than that, it was a pleasant, if somewhat predictable read.

Fun and quick to read
Light crime mystery. Follows CREME BRULEE, but you don't need to read the first book before starting this one.
Interesting to see how the two spouses see the save event from their own viewpoints, though.

Good little mystery
2nd book in the Carolyn Blue culinary mystery series
Forty-something homemaker Carolyn Blue is through with cooking and cleaning. She's finally decided to throw in the distowel -- and take on a dream job as food writer. Now her plate is filled with exotic locales, delectable foods, and even a dash of crime -- to taste. Invited to New York with her husband, Carolyn is anxious to get a true taste of New York, but before she gets a chance to let the fun go to her head, her husband's prospective employer is dead -- keeled over after a heaping helping of pastrami.
I'm disappointed in this book. I loved Crime Brulee and looked forward to reading this one. I tossed it aside after 40 pages. There were way too many VNW's (very nasty words) for me. I don't enjoy reading anything that is peppered with swearing, especially the F word. Really unnecessary in my opinion. Hope the next book is better.
