An engrossing and at times disturbing read for any true crime fan. Ann Rule is consistently the best true crime writer out there. I couldn't put it down.

But I Trusted You is another great book written by Ann Rule.
The people in this book put their trust into others who went to the maximum limit to kill and destroy. Of course, the killers were charismatic and sought the weak or those who were easily trusting.
I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for an excellently written true crime book!

I always enjoy Ann Rule's books. Her style of writing draws you right into the story. I also like the way she makes it seem as if she were talking to you, the reader, personally. She makes comments, or asks questions, that have come to my mind.
I like true crime stories and most of the time I haven't heard about the cases that she puts in her books. Keeping some of the stories short allows me to more easily stop and start her books when I'm busy without having to try and remember every character I've met, which sometimes happens with novels I'm reading.
I recommend this book to anyone that enjoys true crime stories.

An interesting perspective about how heinous criminals can be. Sad stories of betrayal and mysterious killings. A real education on how crafty and evil some people can be. A lesson to be learned about thinking ahead and putting safety first. Will read more by this author.
Thought this was one of her better ones in awhile.
