This book is about a young woman searching for answers about her mysterious past. Melody Browne's house burned down when she was a child. All her family's possessions and her memories were destroyed. Melody has had no recollection of her life before the fire. She is now a single mother in her early 30's living in London with her teenage son. She hasn't seen her parents since she left home at fifteen. While attending a hypnotist show with a date, she faints. When she comes around, she suddenly remembers her life before the fire. The story has a complex plot with multiple storylines and believable characters. There are lots of secrets with shocking twists that kept the pages turning until the very end. If you enjoy stories about family then you will enjoy this book. I have read many of Lisa Jewell's novels and have enjoyed them all.
