This is a cute story but I didn't think the Squire got all of the 12 gifts without spending money. There's a mystery involved when some bad things happen and the community is quick to blame Geoffrey, the Squire's younger brother. The ending was rushed, in my opinion, without sufficient insight offered for Gen's change of heart.
