Jane was finally introduced in the last few pages. So disappointing. I absolutely loved the Jane of Her Majesty the Queen series but Father Christmas was long, laborious and generally a real downer. I get the fact he lost his wife to very tragic circumstances and that he and his young daughter are mourning - but after the twelfth reference to this heart-wrenching experience, I was over the "poor Father Christmas" plot choice. My birthday is Twelfth Night and I have always devoured anything to do with this holiday - but I will certainly explore the next in this series before deciding if I want to give another book a try.
I was intrigued by the title and the main character named Christmas. This is a really good English cozy and I plan to read the others in the series.
