Book one of the Ozark fantasy trilogy, in which we meet Responsible of Brightwater and travel with her as she sets off on a Quest across the 12 kingdoms of Marktwain to find out who is causing all the magical mischief - spoiled milk every Monday, ailing Grannies with congenital cantankerousness, streetsigns reading backwards, Mules flying erratically, and the kidnapping of a baby right out of a church service - right before the Grand Jubilee of the Confederation of Continents.
