I picked this book up on a whim. Something I rarely do because this is a new author for me and I didn't recall reading any reviews about this book. Sweet cover, nice blurb - I took a chance. Little did I know there was a 0.5 Novella out there. Ah well...

TWILIGHT HUNTER is fast paced and entertaining. As part of the Execution Underground, Jace's specialty is hunting and destroying werewolves. His hatred for the creatures stems from his own mixed blood. Talk about Daddy issues - WOW - this guy has them. When he stumbles upon Frankie at a gruesome murder site, he doesn't kill her but becomes very intrigued. Of course, it's during the annual mating season and what soon follows during the full moon is inevitable.

The PNR creature murdering the girls is one sicko. Jace and Frankie combine their skills to catch this guy, which causes nothing but problems with Execution Underground HQ.

I would have rated this book 5 Stars except for one thing which really bothered me. Warning spoiler ahead - Although Jace always thought he was a half-breed werewolf, it turns out he is a Skinwalker. Great news! Unfortunately, Ms. Ballenger does nothing with it, end of story.

BTW, the other members of the Underground have their own specialties: Vamp, demon, ghost, shifter, occult. Look for more books to come! I'm headed to the library to check out After Dark: The Darkest Angel/Shadow Hunter. I want to know why Damon is so damn angry all of the time.
