Jonathan Kellerman writes novels that keep you turning the pages and this one is no exception. Homicide detective Petra Connor is made aware of similarities in several cold-cases that make her believe the killer is going to attempt another murder on the anniversary date of his previous murders. With the help of her young doctoral canidate intern, she sets out to solve these old murders and, hopefully, prevent the next one. One of those 2:30 in the morning and still reading books......

A Petra Connor novel. A whiz kid grad student discovers the pattern to a series of unconnected murders. Petra's got a lot on her plate, a personal life in shambles, and no time for the kid...but the date that connects all the murders is rapidly approaching and Petra has to decide if it's worth pursuing the bizarre clues that no one else has noticed to stop an elusive, cunning killer.

Kellerman's work is a bit dark, interesting, and his style is one of the best. That's what makes him a top selling writer year after year.
Unsatisfying ending. Read no further if you don't want any hint of the ending. --- The person revealed at the end was not a regular character in the book. Truly a surprise ending. Surprising but not satisfying.
Strong Kellerman!
a real page-turner!
This is a great who done it? It takes place in Hollywood, and envolves several murders.
With her energies focused on a baffling, vicious gang slaying and her personal life in shambles, Hollywood homicide detective Petra Connor has a full plate. The last thing she needs is a whiz-kid grad student claiming to have stumbled upon a bizarre connection between several unsolved murders. The victims had nothing in common, yet each died by the same method, on the same date -- a date that's rapidly approaching again. And that leaves Petra with little time to unravel the twisted logic of a cunning predator, who's evaded detection for years -- and whose terrible hour is once more at hand.
FROM THE PUBLISHER
"Lifeless bodies sprawl in a dance-club parking lot after a brutal L.A. drive-by. Of the four seemingly random victims, one stands out: a girl with pink shoes who cannot be identified - and who, days later, remains a Jane Doe. With zero leads and no apparent motive, it's another case destined for the cold file - until Petra Connor decides to follow her instincts and descends into a world of traveling grifters and bloodthirsty killers, pursuing a possible eyewitness whose life is in mortal danger." Finding her elusive quarry - alive - isn't all Petra has on her plate: departmental politics threatens to sabotage her case, and her personal life isn't doing much better. If all that wasn't enough, Isaac Gomez, a whiz-kid grad student researching homicide statistics at the station house, is convinced he's stumbled upon a bizarre connection between several unsolved murders. The victims had nothing in common, yet each died by the same method, on the same date - a date that's rapidly approaching again. And that leaves Petra with little time to unravel the twisted logic of a cunning predator who's evaded detection for years - and whose terrible hour is once more at hand.

A great mystery
Another great book by Jonathan Kellerman!
Jonathan Kellerman can do no wrong as far as I'm concerned and this is another great book.
I loved this book! Petra Connor again stars in TWISTED, after BILLY STRAIGHT and a bit part in an Alex Delaware novel, A COLD HEART. She's an interesting character with enough emotional depth and history to draw most readers in. The ensemble cast backing her, including her love interest and a 22-year-old genius that loves working in the murder field, offer a lot of possibilities too. Although the abridged book is a good listen, read by Lindsay Crouse, the emphasis seems to be more on Petra's person life than either of the two murders she's investigating. TWISTED misses the mark on presenting a thrilling whodunit.
Jonathan Kellerman is the bestselling writer of the Alex Delaware novels featuring a child psychologist who consults for the Los Angeles Police Department. He and his bestelling wife Faye have started writing together, and their son Jesse is a rising star in the novel trade.
TWISTED has two mysteries going at one time. Petra is called to the scene of a mass shooting and struggles to put the pieces together as to who the unidentified girl was and why she was killed. In the meantime, her brilliant understudy, a 22-year-old college professor named Isaac Gomez, comes to her with what he believes is a serial killer who's been striking every June 28th. The book takes place in the month of June, so another killing -- if Gomez is correct, and he is -- is right around the corner. The novel's strengths are in the showcasing of Petra and Gomez's personal lives outside of the murder investigation.

Typical Jonathan Kellerman book...full of excellent twists, great character development, and keeps the reader guessing right up to the very end!
Great book, just try to put it down. I dare you.
A very enjoyable read.
A young research prodigy is placed under the guidance of Detective Petra Conner. He has discovered 6 murders that are disimilar except for the fact they have occured on June 28th a year apart. Could this be a serial killer? Why were the murders never investigated fully. Very good book

Homicide detective Petra Connor and a grad student working in her office find a connection between several unsolved murders. Reads good.
Great book.
This is the first time in paperback for this one, but it is not an Alex Delaware novel. I thought this was a very good book.
Very interesting reading and a bit of a surprise ending
Not my favorite Kellerman novel but not bad. Definitely a surprise ending.
Great book, kept me interested till the end
another one out of the park!
I thought this was really interesting and not just another big city homicide detective novel
I enjoyed this alot. Lots of twists and turns with a surprise ending.
Another great book by Kellerman!
Couldn't put it down! Really good.
A good change of pace from the Delaware series. I like the Petra character.
I don't read his books normally but I LOVED this one! (not too much gore for a big baby like me!) It really kept you guessing till the end! The cover of the book I'm offering is red!
As always, Jonathan Kellerman does not disappoint.
I've read every J. Kellerman book and this was a great one. Very interesting plot. Petra's working on two different cases so there is plenty of action and mystery.
Petra Conner returns in this thriller. As usual with Jonathan Kellerman a very will ploted sspenceful story. You will like it.

Petra Connor instead of Alex Delaware
Another excellent Kellerman novel.
Petra Connor has an intern working with her who claims to have found a connection between several "unrelated" homicides.
A PETRA CONNOR WHO DONE IT A PAGE TURNER
Excellent reading! Several different twists and turns as Petra looks for a serial murder....
Good book. A little slow here and there.
hey Kellerman **** fantastic read
This is a great mystery, suspense novel!!! Took me three days to read it.
I love this book!Petra is a solid character and I enjoyed very much seeing the development of Issac, boy wonder.

an elaborate tangled web with unsuspected turns at every chapter break. this book was good a little slow to start but you get involved with the charactors and what is going on and i found it hard to lay down . was engrossing and kept you wanting to read to see where it was going next.k.k.
great read
The story starts out strong and is a good page-turner. A good suspense novel has twists that take you by surprise, but I found [what was supposed to be] the big 'twist' at the end a bit of a disappointment.
This was a great book. I really like Jonathon Kellerman, and this book did not let me down.
Petra Connor is back, with a gang shooting and LAPD office politics to deal with, as well as baby sitting a brainiac intern who thinks there is a serial killer striking ever year on June 28, which is fast approaching! Typical fast paced Kellerman whodunit, with some interesting side bits that keep the action interesting.
FANTASTIC!!!
I love it when I can't figure it out until the very end! A really good beach/plane book
Very exciting book, great and quick read. (This same book was also published with a red cover).

An interesting "who done it" that had me reviewing the clues while I was at work. Definitely a good read right to the end. Enjoy.
