TWO OF A KIND is Felicia and Gideon's story. I won't rehash the blurb for you but will just say that the story is a true finding love romance. Felicia is a great character. Fans of smart characters who are quirky will adore Felicia, she just makes you smile. Gideon is a hero to die for, he's strong, silent and simply sexy. The story itself will leave you laughing, sighing, and at times a little teary-eyed. There are great characters, both main and secondary. The setting of Fool's Gold, CA is just outstanding. Fans of the series will have another winner on their hands. Those who are new to the series will have a great introduction that will leave them eager to read all the previous titles. While this is part of a large series, The Fool's Gold Series, you can read it alone or with just the previous title, Just One Kiss, which begins the Bodyguard Trilogy. However you don't have to read any title to follow TWO OF A KIND. I do highly recommend TWO OF A KIND. Fans of small town romances, romances with characters who seem completely different, fans of lovers who are reunited and basically any reader of romance. I'd suggest you pick up TWO OF KIND today, you won't regret it! I finished it in one night, so be prepared to not want to put it down!

Felicia has come to Fools Gold with some of her Military friends to help start up their new company. She was raised by strangers in Universities and longs to be seen as normal not just as a freakishly smart woman. She wants a husband, children and the stereotypical picket fence type lifestyle.

Gideon has never escaped his past. He moved to Fools Gold because it afforded him the privacy he needs to make it through the days. 4 years ago he had an unforgettable night with Felicia, running into her now stirs up all sorts of things he wishes he could ignore. But Felicia isnt easy to ignore, shes irresistible to him.

The Fools Gold series has been wonderful and this book was no exception. I love the town and its people and I look forward to each new book. Felicia was hilariously literal to me. I loved the way she talked and thought and acted. I have never read a character quite like her and I found her endearing. She is so dang smart yet she lacks basic social and street smarts. It makes her an intriguing combination of intelligence and vulnerability. I found myself looking forward to what would come out of her mouth next.

Ive been dying to know more about Gideon since he rolled into town. It was nice to finally peel away the layers to get to the heart of him. He was so sweet with Felicia, even if it took him a while to come to his senses. Men!

I would have loved to have rated this a 5 star book, because it was that enjoyable. However, I found the ending a little abrupt and a too reminiscent of the previous book Just One Kiss. There was also a too much cheese added to the resolution for my tastes. Other than that there is a whole bunch of fantastic on these pages and a surprise I didnt see coming.

I absolutely loved this book. I love the oddball way that Felicia expresses herself. Think Data from Star Trek, knows a lot of stuff but misses the little things. I loved how she would say exactly what she wanted when others would have hinted or lied. The hero was just a bit too tortured but overall this was one of the better Fool's Gold books. I want to go to Jo's Bar, by the way.

I love having a visit back to Fool's Gold. I really loved this book!! You can jump right into the storyline and you feel as though you are visiting old friends. Felicia, the main character, is new to town and wants to fit in. Due to a different childhood and her over the top brilliance, she has a hard time trying to fit in. Because the town is made up of such nice people, she is taken in right away. Her biggest problem is with love. She has a history with Gideon and needs to see if they can start over. With lots of town events and a few surprises, this is an amazing visit back to Fool's Gold. I just can't wait for Three little words next!!!!

Again the female character saves the day. Felicia was so great and quirky. I love her lines and I was thoroughly intrigued with her development with Carter, the teenager. They were great together.

Gideon could have been so much more but Mallery have been doing a lot of cookie cutter hero with the tortured past and survivor's guilt. She touches on the surface but doesn't go in too deep, perhaps she doesn't want her books to be a downer? He wasn't horrible but you could have inserted anyone from her last few Fool's Gold heroes in his place and it would have been the same.

As always, expect a rushed ending. This book was more fun due to Felicia and some of Ford and Angel's antics. Almost refreshing.
