I have decided to skip the first four installments of my detective series, and go straight to the fifth. I checked with Janet Evanovich and sue Grafton and the word is that if you make it to #5 in a series, you can quit your regular job, I took the liberty of writing my own book jacket and reviews: In this, the fifth installment of his award winning Roach Clippard series Best selling author Arthur Cleveland takes you for a page-turning adventure. Roach, everyones favorite "Detective for Barter" finds himself embroiled in a soul-searching journey where his skills are put to the ultimate test. His case not only puts his life in jeopardy, but all those he loves. A bachelor by choice, his entourage includes his edible secretary Adonna who would love to take Roach's marriage cherry. She has competition for that goal; Venus, the girl any guy would love to be stuck in the sixties with, has set her sights on old Roach. Her Psychic Madame Tealeaf has given her the green light. It takes all the wiles that this foursome and The Governor, Roach's long suffering landlord, can muster to bring a showdory figure known only as Dust to justice. From the heartless speakeasy on the wrong side of the sleepy town of Dead Pine, Me. to the secret passion pits known only to wealthy and powerful, Roach and his partners leave no stone unturned in persuit of a killer in their midst. Another Cleveland page-turn once again proves that big secrets can hid in a small town. Humor and drama conspire to make this fast-paced well-plotted mystery a must read.
A stunning follow-up to Roach Killer:
