A little less gritty then I was hoping for but definitely not a slow read. She seems genuine in her recovery from drug addiction but always has some vulnerability to her that makes her relate able. If you were ever a fan of full house, this one is a good look inside that tv show. Jodie does mention the show quite a lot as it has really been the only big break she has ever had in her career.
One day I will learn that Hollywood starlets do not make good authors!! The book is terribly written and has zero literary value.
If you are a fan of hers you may enjoy hearing her story, but if you are an avid reader you will be bothered by the lack of story telling skills and will be greatly disappointed!!

As a kid growing up in the 80's, of course I was a fan of Full House. So from that perspective, I enjoyed reading about Jodie growing up on the set and then about how her life unfolded once the show was over. I found the book to be entertaining and a very quick read but not particularly amazing or well-written. Interesting but overall just okay.
