The Unbearable Lightness of Dragons - Light Dragons, Bk 2
Author: Katie MacAlister
Ysolde de Bouchier is a woman beset with trials. The dragon part of her, which was buried deep for centuries, is still making itself known, but in ways that just don't make sense. She's continuing to have visions, but now they involve events she wasn't present to witness. — As if that isn't enough, she's caught up in a tangled...  more »

This book was okay. I have read all the other ones and this one just isn't as organized. It was a little disjointed and there were a few times where I wonder where the story was going. I also remembered Tully/Ysolde to be a little stronger and not so girlie girl. She lets Baltic get away with a lot, especially answering questions. Questions that would have solved a lot of things. Loved seeing the old gang though and seeing the mates have their get-togethers despite the men.

From other books in the Dragon series, Baltic is always shown as the bad guy. Of course, this series shows Baltic in the best light possible. He is a typical hero: strong and silent, sexy, loves his mate beyond measure and lets his woman get away with murder (well not literally). I really like Baltic and Ysolde together. They were married a couple hundred years ago until someone murdered them both. Baltic was resurrected by his second in command, a very strong necromancer and Ysolde was resurrected by the First Dragon who now wants something from her, figures. Ysolde spends most of the book trying to figure out what that is and the other time trying to get Baltic reinstated in the Weyr since he has been outlawed. I particularly liked the ladies (May, Aisling, Cyrene) going behind their mates (Gabriel, Drake, Kostya) backs and helping Ysolde help her man. Of course, Jim plays a huge part in this book as does Aisling, May and Drake. Jim provides much needed levity with his sexual innuendos and outright rude remarks. Laugh out loud funny at times. Another winner for Katie MacAlister.
