This book is really worth your time to listen to. Because the blurb lists all the other narrators, I was thinking there would be more readers in all the stories. The extra readers only show up in the last story. So Tom Hanks, the man we know and love, the actor, wrote all these fun stories and he reads them.
Often you will find that there is typewriter in each story. Maybe not all. You will also find that some characters show up in other stories. There is one reoccurring newspaper columnist, that is so great to listen to, and I dont think you will get the same feeling if you just read it to yourself.
All the stories were fun, and interesting, Nothing was bizarre or upsetting or scary or twisted. Tom Hanks was not going for the shock factor. But all the stories are fun, interesting, slice of life. The grand finale is the last story with all the readers.
I can not applaud this book enough. But do recommend listening to it even if you read it.
