I was familiar with Katie MacAlister and found her story a nice addition to her series. The Jessica Sims short story was good, too. The revelation to me was Molly Harper. I LOVED her short story so much that I'm now about to start reading her novels. It was charming - light, amusing, very warm and personable. Made me want to live in Half-Moon Hollow! Any problems her characters had to overcome made complete sense (let's be honest, that's not always the case with other writers). I haven't enjoyed a short story this much in a long time.

Review is for "Undead Sublet"
Tess is a chef. She's good at her job and a workaholic. When she's not working, she's working. This forces a break down and she is forced on leave. She elects to go to Half Moon Hallow because her mentor lives there now and would be some support. Unknowingly to her, the house she rents already has an occupant in the basement.
She quickly makes friends and finds a base of support. She and Sam (the roommate) go from enemies to friends to lovers. This was a fun read with the MH certified snark in the Half Moon Hallow universe.

Both Harper and MacAlister's stories were laughed out loud and so much fun. They are a part of a series and it was nice to revisit some old characters.

That leaves Sim's story sort of the odd man out. It was okay but it didn't quite fit because it was a bit more serious. I thought Ruby and Michael were actually lacking something but I couldn't put my finger on it.

Overall a decent anthology, especially if you are fans of the three series.
