I was disappointed with this book. I was excited to read it, but was disappointed almost as soon as I began reading it. The main character is annoying and completely unlikeable and I could have done without the explicit sex scenes - they were very out of place & added nothing to the book! I have not decided yet if I will bother to read the rest of the series.

I really wanted to like this book, but I couldn't even make it through the whole thing. The main character was just too annoying for me. I didn't like Betsy from the start, and I hoped as the book went on she would become less obnoxious. No such luck I'm afraid.

This is a breezy Sunday afternoon read. The heroine is a cross between Paris Hilton and Sailor Moon - bumbling, vain, obsessed with labels, and yet very loyal to her friends.
I was not impressed with the graphic sex, and the one liners get a bit tiresome.
Still, it's a fair enough "brain candy" book, that doesn't take itself too seriously, and doesn't waste your time trying to get you to take it seriously either.

This is the story of Betsy, who has a week from hell and winds up undead, only to find out that she's a prophesied 'Queen' to the vampires. Hilariously written, sarcasm and wit combine to make for a very sassy main character. The book is very easy and quick to read, the characters real and endearing.

Let me start off by saying that I'm not a huge fan of vampire books. I just don't have much of an interest. However, after reading MaryJanice Davidson's Fred the Mermaid series, I decided to check this series out. I'm glad I did. Betsy is likeable, Sinclair is sexy, and the book in general is LOL funny. I look forward to #2- Undead and Unemployed. It isn't heavy vampire readiing, but it's gory enough for me. :)
