I really thought when I sat down to read this book that I would enjoy it. But I actually didn't care for the book much at all. The characters never really spend much time developing their relationship. For this to be book 1 I felt terribly left out on the back story, I suppose author plans to reveal more in later books but it just fell flat with me. Im afraid there is no magic in Under Your Spell.

I enjoyed this book for the most part. The first part of this book I had a hard time keeping my mind on it, which is unusual. But it picked up. I don't think I will bother with the rest of the series though.

What a disappointment! I usually "judge a book by its cover" but this one really missed the mark. The storyline was extremely difficult to follow; in fact, so much so that I kept flipping back to see what I missed. This book's only saving grace was the very few sex scenes which I thought were described quite well. The romance aspect of this "historical romance" was virtually non-existent. I will read the next book in this series only because surely it can't be any worse than this one.

I was looking for an easy read and definitely did not find it in this book. While enjoyable towards the end, I found the beginning of the book to be extremely intense and difficult to get into. It seemed that she was more a psychic than a witch. I am hoping the rest of the series is easier to get through.
