I was a little slow picking this one up because I thought it was about competitive chefs sabotaging each other, which really didn't appeal. Instead it deals with OJT sexual harassment, a la Harvey Weinstein. It turned out to be a really funny and romantic read. Mack has a secret to protect and Liv is judgemental and cranky. Who knew they would work so well together as they try to take down a sexual predator? This bromance book club series is quite entertaining. I hope there's a story planned for the Russian. 4 stars.

Liv Papandreas has been working at her dream job as a sous chef at the Swanky Savoy Restaurant. But when she accidentally dumps a $1,000 cupcake onto a customer's lap, she knows her days may be numbered. Planning on begging for her job, she arrives at her boss's office in time to see him harassing a female employee. When she confronts him, he fires her. Out of a job and blackballed from finding another, Liv turns to Braden Mack, a friend of her brother-in-law, who is offering her a job. Liv doesn't want the job; she wants Mack to help her get even with her old boss.
Braden Mack is a founding member of the Bromance Book Club. He and his friends read romance books in order to learn how to romance women. Mack considers himself an expert with woman. But upon meeting Liv, he realizes he has never met anyone like her.
The second book in the Bromance Book Club series was a cute, light read. There were some funny moments, but it didn't have the originality of the first book. The characters were fun and there was an enjoyable secondary romance. I plan on reading the next book in the series when it comes out. My rating: 4 Stars.
