This was my first Kenner County Crime Unit read and maybe I would have enjoyed it more if I was already involved in the story. As it was, I didn't really like it because the heroine, who is 8 month pregnant and allegedly in love with her husband, can't understand why he left her for 2 months to work undercover as an FBI agent. I just couldn't get past her immaturity in thinking that because he left her for his work it meant he couldn't be a good husband and father. That said, the action scenes were exciting to read.
