Reprint of one of Iris Johansen's classics. Composer Jason Hayes is searching for the perfect singer for his latest work, and finds Daisy Justine in Geneva. Daisy longs to accept the offer, but cannot, because her father is dying. Jason decides to wait for her....
It is Iris Johansen at her best. A little love, drama, and suspense in one.
GOOD READ!!!
GOOD READ!!!
Romance AND suspense. Good read!
When a world-famous composer hears an obscure singer perform, he knows he must have her as the star in his latest work, an adaptation of Othello. She seems disinterested in the stardom he promises and wary of him as a man. Fireworks, of course.
It was good. I wasn't that impressed with it at first but it did get better as it went on. I had no idea that this was more of a romance novel than a regular chick lit novel, but all in all it wasn't bad.
Too mushy for me but it was Iris Johansen so I wanted to give it a try.
A disappointment from this author. If you've read Jane Eyre, you know the theme of this book.
