I did enjoy this book. I learned a lot about pilots, about airports, about the tower and lots of things that I had no idea went on in the skies. The book was written well, however sometimes it bogged down with all the descriptions. It was not a rant against the airline industry itself but rather sort of a teaching experience. Also told about the simulators that most pilots nowadays get their training on. A very informative book especially for those of us who just get on an airplane and fly off somewhere. Good read.
From the book:
The book that helps you become a safer, smarter flyer. A pilot reveals what's really going on in today's airline industry. Finally, a commercial pilot with over a decade's worth of experience takes you behind the scenes and into the cockpit to show what's really going in in our unfriendly skies.
