Although I don't think the writing is skillful enough to hold up to the scrutiny of a more discerning reader, this book makes excellent reading for a younger reader or someone who is young at heart. :) There is no inappropriate content for children, and I would say it is appropriate for all ages. The books mesh together well and there are no major plot holes that I was able to notice. All in all, an excellent "horsey" book for little (and big!) girls.

Interesting and a fast paced fantasy. It holds the reader and makes you want to finish the series. Enjoyable to the fantasy lovers.
