this has to be one of the funniest GH books ever. The scene toward the end of the book is hilarious. The only thing I found disconcerting was the 'cousins' aspect but I realized that was an accepted thing during that time.
If you haven't read much Heyer, this is a great book to start on.

This is one of Heyer's best and that's saying quite a lot... rates right up there with The Grand Sophy for me.

Darracott Place is the scene of much confusion when young Hugh Darracott the son of the family's black sheep emerges as the heir to the family title. Summoned to meet the family, Hugh finds himself in an arranged marriage with a young woman he has never seen. In desperation, Hugh decides to live down to his family's expectations of his crudeness. He will show them all including the charming beautiful Anthea what lout he can be.

GREAT story, I loved it. The plot and the hero start off off slow, but pick up speed to a delightful and fun ending.
