Three or four stories really draw you in, and make you not want to put the book down until you finish them. The other stories are good, but its really those three or four stories that make it all worth requesting this book. Divakraruni uses descriptive language well, and is able to not burden the story down with it, while still creating an atmospheric sense for the reader.

This is one of my favorite authors. I love the way female authors from India describe things. It's such a enlightening change the words they use and things they say. I truly enjoyed this book with its short stories. I've read all of her books and can't get enough of her writing!
