This series and the Alex Cross are the best of Patterson, the Private series I don't like at all1
I was very happy with this one, it is very easy to read with short chapters and it moves along at a good clip, yes there are about 3 storylines going but it is written so well it is easy to keep up with all of them and not feel lost or confused.
Thanks, Patterson, another good job.

Typical Patterson, meaning short, quick chapters with a story line that keeps your interest. Also becoming "typical Patterson" is the "filler" material that does little to advance, what might otherwise be, a hundred page story. Things like side issues involving who's getting married, who's moving here or there, blah, blah, blah. Most of these side issues do little to advance the story. For example, compare the average Patterson book to the average Daniel Silva or Robert Ludlum book. Still, it's a quick and fun read.
