"An Unquiet Mind is a beautiful, funny, original book. Powerfully written, it is a wonderful and important account of mercurial moods and madness. Dr. Jamison comes across as a fiery, witty, and independent woman. I absolutely love this book." -Pan Conroy

an amazing book, couldn't put it down! She write in such an engaging manner that you are immediately drawn into her story and she gives you an understanding that makes the workings of the mind clear. A must read for anyone interested in "disorders" of the mind.

This memoir is good and revealing, and I learned a lot about maniac-depressive illness. I thought it was a bit too long, and that it would have been much improved if the other side of the story had been told concurrently. Bits and pieces were missing, as though she was not ready to truly tell us everything.

An Unquiet Mind was one of the best books I have ever read. I felt as if the author were living my life. This is a great read for anyone and especially those interested in this subject matter.
