This book got mixed reviews, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised to find a story that caught my interest and kept it, making me want to keep reading to find out how things would turn out. Mitzi, Jake, and Trinity are all lovable protagonists and Sarabeth is good in her role as the "wicked witch on the hill". Overall a worthwhile read.

I typically love her books and I have just about every one of them, but this book was actually pretty boring! It may just have been me, but I thought it was never getting over with!

Really good story - although I would have liked a little more closure (but that's just me).

This was not like "most" of her books! It was a GREAT book, and, it had some humor in it!! I found it freshing and a book you can't wait to pick back up! Of course, being from the South, I really could relate to sweet tea and "hot" afternoons!! Nice work Fern!!!

This book really got you into the happenings. You were able to feel what each was going through liking some and not the others. It was a good written story and had a good ending.

FERN MICHAELS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE AUTHORS. I'VE GOT IT ON MY BOOKSHELF OF BOOKS I WILL SENT TO OTHERS. THIS BOOK HELD MY INTEREST ALL THE WAY THROUGH IT. I REALLY GOT INTO THE BOOK. FOR GENERATIONS, THE WINDSORS LIVED ON THEIR ESTATE IN SOUTH CAROLINA. SARA BESS BELIEVES SHE MAY BE THE LAST TO CARRY ON THE FAMILY NAME--UNLESS SHE CAN FIND HER SECOND DAUGHTER, WHO DISAPPEARED 15 YEARS AGO. BUT THE TOWN HAS NEVER FORGOTTEN HER...ESPECIALLY NOT HANDSOME LAWYER JAKE FORREST.

For generations, the Windsors have lived on the family's grand estate in Crestwood, South Carolina, as intertwined with local life as sweet tea and pecan pie. Now, on the anniversary of her daughter Emily's death, Sarabess Windsor believes she may be the last to carry the family name - unless she can find her second daughter, Trinity, who disappeared fifteen years ago. But the town has never forgotten her...especially not handsome lawyer Jake Forrest. Trinity swore never to return to Crestwood. But soe ties - to a place, to a past, to the people we once were and dreams we once had - can never be fully broken. And as family secrets are revealed, and desires old and new come to light, Trinity may discover the one thing she never expected to find in Crestwood: a place to call home at last.
