I've read a few of the original ones.  I read some when I was younger and I go through phases where I read them.  It got to the point that I bought a huge box of vc andrews books on ebay!  LOL I haven't read them all yet but when I go through a phase I will have plenty then.

If you haven't read it yet you MUST read Flowers in the Attic.  Great book.

I loved the originals but haven't really liked any since Andrews died and others started using her name.

You definately need to start out reading V.C Andrews orginal books. After she died someone else took over her writing and it basically became young adult.  The older they are, the better they are. Trust me.

I will be the 100th person to tell you to read her originals haha. start with the dollanger series, flowers in the attic and the sequel petals on the wind are very good at least from what i remember as a teen. my sweet audrina scared me to death. and the heaven series is good too. i think everything else is written by other people. i remember not liking the flowers in the attic movie and that it was very different from the book

I read quite a few when I was in high school.  Definitely enjoyed flowers in the attic.  But most of the stories all have the same plot.  After awhile I got bored with them.
